My last day in Tschernobyl. Was inside the inner zone… 200 meters away from the big inferno “block 4” from 1986.
Incredible, inside the repaired building rages a nuclear inferno, and it’s me outside. They did a good job with sealing up the core. In 3 hours I got less radiation than on my flight to kiew ( 5 uS/h).
The arc – very big and impressive – is 110 meters high. When you look to the roof it’s far away ‘ like a very very big airplane hangar. A lot of people are working here. Looks like a normal building lot.

Did two shots. Both worked well.

The team, Timo and Sven,  did some awesome drone flights over the reactor and the arch a few days ago.

In the evening we went back to kiew and tomorrow we go back to germany.

I was deeply impressed of being here … and stand beside the reaktor and visit the plundered forgotten city in the middle of nowhere Prypyat.
